Thanks to work by your Churchill Labour Councillors, Citizens Advice Bureau Westminster and Churchill Gardens Residents Association, we’re pleased to announce that a new weekly ‘Advice Shop’ is starting in Churchill Ward.

It will take place at Churchill Gardens Residents’ Hall, Churchill Gardens Estate, SW1V 3AL, every Thursday 10am-12pm, starting from Thursday 15th November.

Citizens Advice Bureau’s ‘Advice Shop’ offers free information and advice service for Westminster residents; or those who are homeless (with no connection to anywhere outside Westminster).

You can see a range of voluntary and statutory service providers, altogether under one roof.

Get help with benefits and income maximisation; debt and money advice; housing and homelessness; health and community care; employment; immigration and nationality; consumer rights;carers’ support; and crime and noise problems.

Trained volunteers will carry out a brief triage assessment to try to find the best way to help solve your problem. They might provide you with information so you can take action yourself, or help you to get in touch with an organisation that can assist you; or, if it is something we deal with and your problem is complex, they may book you for a ‘Call Back’ or ‘Face-to-face’ appointment with one of our advisers.

Citizens Advice Bureau’s Advice Shop sessions are run in a range of different venues across Westminster during the week. Please note that CAB are required to leave the premises at the end of the drop-in session time. This may mean that some venues offer a first come-first served ticketed system to see our team.

You can find out more about the Advice Shop on the Citizens Advice Bureau Westminster website.
