Churchill Labour Councillors report back to Belgravia Residents

Labour Churchill Ward Councillor Shamim Talukder gave his Ward report to the AGM of the Belgrave Residents’ Association held at St Michaels Church, Chester Square.

Cllr Talukder reported back on Churchill Labour Councillors’ successful campaign to lobby Westminster City Council to introduce dividers on benches in Orange Square. Previously, Cllrs Talukder and Williams organised the securing of the entrances to the underground toilets which were being used for anti-social behaviour and drug use.

Cllr Talukder also spoke about our support of the campaign to save front counter services at Belgravia Police Station.

Churchill Labour Councillors were also at the forefront of the campaign to save Newson’s Timber Yard in Pimlico Road and attended the judicial review hearing at the Royal Courts of Justice.
