Churchill Gardens drugs raid – support for police action

Two schoolboy brothers aged 14 and 15 were among suspects arrested today at the Churchill Gardens Estate on suspicion of dealing Class A Drugs, including crack cocaine and heroin. The pair are alleged to be prominent gang members who peddled substances on the streets of a Westminster City Council estate. They were among more than 20 people targeted in dawn raids on the Churchill Gardens estate in Pimlico.

Churchill Ward Labour Councillors Murad Gassanly, Shamim Talukder and Jason Williams said;

“We strongly support the police actions this morning and look forward to working with the Police and local residents to have an effective response to tackle these problems caused by a small minority. Churchill Gardens is a great community with many families who have lived on the estate for generations. Labour supports tough action against crime and anti-social behaviour. We have a zero-tolerance policy on gangs, knives and drug-dealing”.
